14 New Covid-19 Outbreaks Reported In Michigan Schools

(CBS DETROIT) – The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services updated the number of school coronavirus outbreaks. Woodhaven-Brownstone school district is reporting at least 50 students in quarantine after one teacher and two students tested positive for Covid-19. At least 14 school outbreaks are being reported in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. Michigan State University is still on the list for ongoing school outbreaks. Mayor Duggan, Councilman Tate Announce Recreational Marijuana Ordinance

(CBS DETROIT)– The long awaited ordinance announced by Mayor Duggan and City Councilman James Tate today, will allow adult use recreational marijuana in the city, as well gives incentives for Detroiters who are interested in the industry. In November 2018 Detroiters voted to legalize recreational pot in the city. Judge Won’t Upset Online System For Absentee Ballot Sign-Up

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — A judge on Monday rejected a challenge to Michigan’s online request system for absentee ballots. Critics claim the online option violates Michigan law, which requires a signed application. Judge Cynthia Stephens said critics waited too long to seek an injunction and “merely theorize” that fraud might occur. The secretary of state started online absentee voter applications in June. A lawsuit was filed in August, and an injunction was sought Sept. 25.
