Average Credit Score Reaches New Record High During Pandemic

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — While the economy plunged during the coronavirus pandemic, credit scores reached record highs. In July, the average FICO credit score reached a record-breaking 711 points. “Whereas, a year earlier, they were about 706,” said Dorene Ciletti, a consumer analyst at Point Park University. “And even if you think about timeliness and how quickly this occurred, the average credit score in April was 708.” The boost began right around the time when deposits were dropping into people’s bank accounts from the first coronavirus stimulus package. Pedestrian In Critical Condition After Being Hit By Pickup On West Liberty Avenue

By: KDKA-TV News Staff PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle while crossing the street on West Liberty Avenue, officials say. Pittsburgh Public Safety says the woman was hit in the 2000 block of West Liberty Avenue while crossing the street around 8:15 p.m. on Monday. Pennsylvania Senators Pat Toomey And Bob Casey Split On Vote To Confirm Amy Coney Barrett To Supreme Court

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KDKA/AP) — Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed to the Supreme Court by the Senate on Monday night. Barrett was selected by President Donald Trump to fill the vacancy of the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Barrett is 48 years old, and her lifetime appointment as the 115th justice will solidify the court’s rightward tilt. Monday’s 52-48 vote was the closest high court confirmation ever to a presidential election, and the first in modern times with no support from the minority party. ‘Beetlejuice’ Showing At Pop-Up Drive-In Theater At Pittsburgh Zoo

The city is showing “Beetlejuice” on Wednesday night in the zoo’s main parking lot. Gates open at 6 and the movie begins at 7.
