Iowa lawmakers are returning to the Capitol building Monday to gavel in for the 2021 legislative session. It’s a unique year for the Legislature, one where lawmakers are preparing to confront issues related to a pandemic that has killed more than 4,000 Iowans and in which they’ll be following a new set of protocols that they hope will prevent an outbreak from occurring at the Capitol itself.
