Can SCOTUS Draw a New Line on Abortion?

By Jacob Sullum
  • For nearly half a century, the Supreme Court has said the Constitution prohibits states from banning abortion before "viability," the point at which a fetus can survive outside the womb.
  • According to Roe, "this is so because the fetus then presumably has the capability of meaningful life outside the mother's womb." According to Casey, viability is when "there is a realistic possibility of maintaining and nourishing a life outside the womb, so that the independent existence of the second life can in reason and all fairness be the object of state protection that now overrides the rights of the woman."

A French Government Agency’s Stunning Covid Stats Destroy the Official Propaganda

By Rachel Marsden

Rainbow Velvet Christmas Trees Are Here to Revamp Your Decades-Old Holiday Decor

  • Over the decades, I’ve collected an embarrassing number of musical Christmas villages, Kurt Adler nutcrackers, and sentimental family ornaments, along with other one-off Christmas knick-knacks, but recently I decided to update my holiday decor to be more modern and go beyond the typical color palette of white, red, and green.

The GOP Has Its Own Squad—of Stupid Sycophants and Sickos

By Wajahat Ali
  • These clowns keep using The Squad to get themselves in the headlines; it’s time that Democrats make Boebert, MTG, Matt Gaetz, Madison Cawthorn and Paul Gosar into their own brand—and force the rest of the Republican Party to account for these attention-seeking racist morons.
  • That solidarity in hate didn’t stop Greene — who went on Steven Bannon’s podcast to smear Omar as supposedly “pro-Al Qaeda,” an “apologist for Islamic terrorists” and “anti-American” — from attacking fellow Republican Rep. Nancy Mace as “the trash in the GOP Conference,” simply because she rightfully condemned Boebert’s racist, inflammatory comments.

High-Flying Anti-Vax Evangelical TV Network Founder Dies of COVID-19

By Blake Montgomery

The founder of one of the largest Christian TV networks in the world has died of COVID-19 after promoting anti-vaccine skeptics and unproven alternative treatments for the virus in his programming. Marcus Lamb, who created Daystar Television Network, died Tuesday morning at the age of 64, his wife said in a Tuesday broadcast. The network wrote in a tweet, “It’s with a heavy heart we announce that Marcus Lamb, president and founder of Daystar Television Network, went home to be with the Lord this morning.” Lamb, who featured anti-vaxxer Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and hydroxychloroquine on his shows, reportedly tried the alternative treatments his channels promoted after being hospitalized in early November. In 2020, Lamb reimbursed the federal government for $3.9 million after an Inside Edition investigation found his ministry had purchased a multimillion-dollar jet just weeks after receiving a Paycheck Protection Program loan. According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Daystar reaches 108 million households. Lamb began preaching as a teenager in the 1970s, according to the company’s website. Lamb is one of many anti-vaccine media personalities who have died of COVID-19 after publicly denouncing the preventatives.
