In the days after George Floyd died under the knee of a police officer, Minneapolis photographer John Noltner visited the corner where Floyd died, East 38th Street and Chicago Avenue in South Minneapolis, to capture a series of portaits. He approached people and asked “What do you want to say?” As he listened over several days, Noltner gathered 50 stories and portraits.
Those portraits will be projected onto the exterior wall of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church at 2315 Chicago Ave. in Minneapolis each night from 9 to 10:30 p.m. through Sunday.
The images are also available at the website for Noltner’s multimedia arts project A Peace of My Mind. For details, see apomm.net.
